Former British Prime Minister and founder Tony Blair Institute for Good Governance, Mr Tony Blair has paid a courtesy visit to Nigeria’s President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his temporary residence in Abuja.

Tinubu disclosed the visit of Mr. Blair to his Defence House residence on Tuesday.

“I received former British Prime Minister and founder Tony Blair Institute for Good Governance, Mr Tony Blair, at the Defence House, Abuja, earlier today. We discussed areas of mutual interests and how Nigeria can continue to benefit from the amazing work of the Institute,” Tinubu wrote on his verified Twitter handle.

He however failed to disclose details of discussions at the meeting.

As a President-elect now waiting for the May 29 swearing-in date, Tinubu has played host to a handful of local and foreign dignitaries.

On Monday, US President Joe Biden announced a 9-man team to attend Tinubu’s inauguration as Nigeria’s elected President.
