…as Christ Chosen Church holds children’s harvest

A special security analyst has offered safe security tips that parents should employ to keep their home and children safe in the midst of the disturbing state of insecurity in the country.

He gave the tips on Sunday during the annual children’s harvest thanksgiving at the Christ Chosen Church of God Mission at Ekehuan Road, Benin City.

The annual children’s harvest thanksgiving is an event where parents come together with their children to offer thanks to God with their various seeds, financial or otherwise, and in the process re-dedicate their children to the altar and service of God.

Speaking during the celebration which had in large attendance guests from other denominations, congregation members and well-wishers of the children, the security analyst, identified as Mr Cletus, charged parents to ensure that their children are home before 7 to 8 pm and within their reach.

“Have a security personnel’s number on your phone. Reduce the loud discussion you hold on phone publicly. Never use one route always and be conscious when you lodge at a hotel, check for hidden cameras, as well as faulty door locks and make sure to inform your family about your whereabouts always,” he said.

Mr Cletus also asked parents never to let their power-generating set be the only one sounding in the neighborhood.

“There are things your kids must know and mustn’t know. They must know your phone number and your first name, they shouldn’t have access to your bank details and personal info,” Mr Cletus said.

“Have a security personnel’s number on your phone, i.e., the police or vigilante,” he further said.

Earlier, the spiritual guardian of the ministry, Emmanuel Enabulele, offered scriptural verses from the the book of Exodus as he praised the growth of the children since his arrival in 2017. He commended the parents and urged them not to relent in making sure that the children undergo development in Christ, saying, “Behind every virus, there is a devil, but behind every Christian, there is a God.”

He further reminded them that “the hour has come for us to make a solid foundation for our future generations”.

Other activities that took place during the celebration included Bible recitation, dance choreography and choir ministration from the children.
