Despite enduring physical limitations following a 2021 car crash, golf icon Tiger Woods maintains aspirations of competing in one tournament monthly throughout the remainder of the year.

“I have the next three months — three majors — and hopefully that works out,” Woods said in an interview on NBC

At the recent Masters tournament, the 15-time major champion, Tiger Woods, attracted significant crowds. However, his performance resulted in a 16-over par total, marking the highest 72-hole score of his career and placing him last among the 60 golfers who cut Augusta National.

Despite this outcome, Woods expressed anticipation for participating in upcoming tournaments, including the PGA Championship at Valhalla on May 16, the US Open at Pinehurst in June, and the British Open at Royal Troon in Scotland in July.

If Woods succeeds in competing in all these events, it will be the first time since 2019 that he has played in all four major championships. Achieving this goal will necessitate meticulous attention to his physical recovery.

“Cold plunge every day,” Woods said of the treatment for his sore body after the Masters.

To be competitive, Woods will probably need to face off against the current world number one, Scottie Scheffler. Scheffler, who clinched his second Masters title recently, secured his fourth victory of the season at the RBC Heritage just a week later.

“If you just stand back and watch ball flight, there’s something different about his,” Woods said of Scheffler.

“It’s just a matter of if he puts decent, he’s going to win. If he putts great, he blows away fields.

“If he has a bad putting week, he contends,” Woods said. “He’s just that good a ball-striker.”
