General Overseer and Spiritual Leader of the God’s Royal Restoration Assemblies Int’l Inc, Benin City, Bishop Dr. Francis Edogun, last weekend dedicated a new mega church auditorium to compare with international best practices in terms of Christianity, just as he celebrated 25 years of the ministry and 36 years to the service of God as well as unveiling a new book.
Dedicating the new mega auditorium, Bishop Edogun recounted how he was called by divinity and served so many ministries before establishing his, while thanking God for the protection, guidance and gift of wisdom upon him and his family to make the event a successful one.
The church dedication and the 25 years anniversary, which coincided with Bishop Edogun’s birthday and unveiling of his new book, titled ‘The Potter’s House’, saw in attendance the who is who in the society, including various men of God across the South South region, including the emeritus general superintendent of the Christ Apostolic Church of God Mission International Incorporated, Rt. Apst. Godspower Ogbonmwan JP, who was the chairman of the occasion and spiritual father of the day.
In his sermon, Rt. Apst. Ogbonmwan charged Christians across the world to imbibe the culture of being thankful to God for his goodness and holiness to our lives, saying it is the only way he will do more.
He said he was present about three years ago during the foundation laying stone/ groundbreaking ceremony and that he was here again to witness the church dedication, which he said, had restructured many lives to achieve their potentials.
He commended Bishop Edogun for putting up a formidable mechanism to sustain the temple of Christianity, maintaining that his achievements and legacies will soar on without hindrances.
Rt. Apst. Ogbonmwan prayed for God’s continuous protection and direction upon Bishop Edogun and family to enable him perfect to infinity the good work he had started.
In the same vein, Bishop Edogun said he was elated to see the array of personalities that graced the event, and specifically thanked Pa Ogbonmwan for his humility and love to attend the church dedication and the 25 years anniversary, maintaining he performed the foundation laying stone/groundbreaking ceremony about few years ago.
Bishop Edogun said he never regretted being a pastor as he has used his position to effect positive change on the lives of the ordinary people, thus changing their narratives.
He especially thanked his wife, a Canada-based psychiatrist, mental health expert, who had always remained a pillar of his success in his noble course.
He also thanked his children, Joel, Steven, Deborah and Noel, for their understanding as he leaves them in Canada to take up responsibility of building people through Christianity in Nigeria without nursing any pain.
Bishop Edogun also thanked his members who had always stood with him to ensure the speedy completion of the auditorium within time frame, especially the various committees and assured all of them of his continued efforts to bring life more meaningful to them, saying he has used his position to empower women with cash and grinding machines, pay school fees in both lower and higher institutions for diligent students, empowering widows, the vulnerable and the less privileged, particularly twin-born babies who lost their mother to the cold hand of death.
He however advised Christians to remain faithful, committed, dedicated and focused to the work of God, insisting there are a lot to achieve in that regard.
The highpoint of the event was the presentation of awards to dedicated members of the church who distinguished themselves in the cause of carrying out their responsibilities, just as a humanitarian organisation also honoured Bishop Dr Francis Edogun for his steadfastness and commitment to building a society devoid of crime and criminal activities.
