Asue Ighodalo’s leadership qualities and his quest to become the next governor of Edo State is navigating beyond Edo State to Nigeria as a whole and the Diaspora.
In recent times, the challenges he has encountered in the political space and the governorship race have made him to become more famous, legitimately and popularly accepted in the sight of a large number of people of Edo State, Nigeria and the Diaspora based on his continuous move to serve the people of the state.
The large birds who fly great distance across continents have three remarkable qualities, viz: (1.) They rotate leadership. They don’t stay at a place at all. (2.) They choose leaders who can handle the turbulence. (3.) As they are leading, the rest are honking their affirmation.
Asue Ighodalo goes beyond his territorial comfort zone, because of his contagious leadership prowess that has made a large number of people to be glued to his policies and manifesto, which are widely embraced.
The recent court decisions – the Federal High Court’s affirmation and Court of Appeal’s re-affirmation of his candidacy as authentic and duly elected – have put oppositions in disarray, while Asue Ighodalo stands tall as the inscription: “A Giant Made in Edo State.” What an accolade!
There is no doubt that Asue Ighodalo’s victory is sure on September 21, 2024. The hurdles are a test of time which comes in the life of a great man. Noteworthy: gold must pass through fire before it is refined. Hence, there must be distractions in the process, but those distractions can’t hold the process back as the race continues.
