As a measure to ease the problem of clearing backlog certificates and the issuance of same to candidates, the Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB), Professor Ifeoma Mercy Isiugo-Abenihe, has flagged off the NABTEB Digital Certificate Platform (NDCP).
The platform will enable candidates anywhere they are located in the world to have access to their certificates by visiting the NDCP and also enable employers of labour, tertiary institutions to have easy access to verify the authenticity of certificates presented by their employees or applicants.
Prof. Isiugo-Abenihe made the disclosure during the official flag-off of NDCP at the NABTEB headquarters in Benin City, saying the NABTEB Digital Certificate Platform is a technologically enforced platform that makes it easy and faster for candidates to get access to therir certificates through web devices, including mobile phones, it also allows candidates to make request ,make payments, generate and download their certificates,which will undeniably go a long way to eliminatethe problem of having backlog of outstanding certificates
She used the occasion to commend the Federal Ministry of Education for giving her the enabling environment to perform effectively, the management for buying into and supporting the initiative and the zonal, state coordinators as well as staff of NABTEB.

In a goodwill message via zoom, the Director of Information Communication Technology, Federal Ministry of Education, Abubaka Isah, commended NABTEB family for the feat and for setting the pace for others to follow.
