Despite complaints that internet service is weak, shaky in some of its customer service offices and that its self-service portal is often slow and halting, the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) says the process of National Identification Number (NIN) enrolment, verification and authentication, modification of data and other services are going on seamlessly on its portal.

In a statement issued and signed by Kayode Adegoke, Head of Corporate Communications at NIMC, the Commission said it made the process seamless so Nigerians, who are yet to enroll can meet the September 15 NIN-SIM linkage deadline.

The statement reiterates that over 10, 000 NIN enrolment centres across the country and in the diaspora are open for NIN enrolment.
