BENIN CITY – The Esogban of Benin Kingdom, Chief David Edebiri has charged members of the Change Advocates of Nigeria (CAN) not to disband the organisation, rather they should expand it such that its tentacles spread across the country.
Chief Edebiri gave the charge when he played host to the members who were on a thank you visit to the Esogban in his country home in Benin City.
He commended CAN for the role it played throughout the electioneering period, saying it is not based on the numerical strength, but the strategies and information “you were dishing out realy add value to the outcome of the election”.
According to him, the story of change that has just occurred may not be the last one, as there would continue to be changes, he said.
He said though the fight against agents of electoral fraud was over, there was need to further step up actions ahead of the April 11, 2015 State House Assembly elections in the state.
“The April 11 election is crucial to us in Edo State. We must work tirelessly by talking to people to return the House of Assembly to APC”, stated the Esogban of Benin.
