BENIN CITY – The Secretary to Edo State Government, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere has lost his father, High Chief John Ihonvbere.
The late High Chief John Ihonvbere who passed on Monday 2nd of February, 2015, at the age of 98, worked in the health sector all his life.
Following the creation of Mid West State, he was transferred to Oyo, the old Western province, and then from Warri to Central Hospital, Benin.
Thereafter, he was transferred to General Hospital Uzebba, where he retired.
He was the Odionwere of Aghoenlokhua Quarters (biggest quarters) in Uzebba, in Iuleha clan. He was high Chief in the palace of the Okumagbe of Iuleha and a leading member of Anglican Church of Ukhuse-Osi in Owan West Local Government Area. Late Chief John Ihonvbere, is survived by a wife, Chief Mrs. Alice Titi Ihonvbere, 4 children, grandchildren and great grand children.
Burial arrangements would be announced on a later date by the family.
