Barcelona star Luis Suarez has again hit out at the British media, claiming he is ‘missed’ by the press in England.
The Uruguay international, 28, left Liverpool for Barcelona ahead of the 2014-15 campaign, yet continues to endure a frosty relationship with areas of the press in the UK.
Suarez claimed he was being targeted by some publications in 2013 and hit out at coverage of his bite on Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup last year.
And after suggestions emerged that Suarez had tried to bite Manchester City’s Martin Demichelis in the Champions League clash at the Etihad last month, the former Ajax man says he has had enough.
“I do not know whether the British press have something against me, but they do seem to miss me,” Suarez told BeIn Sports.
“They criticise me a lot and are always looking for things to attract attention. They published a picture of me supposedly biting Demichelis, but these images then disappeared when they realised it was fake…
“That was when I said it was enough and to leave me alone. It is tiresome, but they keep looking for something.”
The former Ajax attacker has been in sublime form in the past few weeks after initially struggling for Barca, yet he has insisted that he never worried about his difficult start to life at Camp Nou.
