Enugu – The Rangers’ Stakeholders Forum said on Thursday that its fans would roll out the drums on Sunday during its last match of the season at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

The Chairman of the forum, Ike Ugwu, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the celebration would start after the final whistle of the match between Rangers and El Kanemi Warriors FC of Maiduguri.

Ugwu noted that Rangers’ fans were optimistic of their club’s victory on Sunday against the Warriors.

“God willing, we are going to roll out the drums in a grand style on Sunday to celebrate our hard earned victory.

“Thank God that the jinx would be broken in our life time this year and season.

“We must return all the glory to God. My brother, it has been a long journey for the team for the past 32 years waiting,’’ he said.

The chairman urged all sports fans and residents of Enugu and its environs to join the carnival at the stadium.

“By the grace of God, after a brief merriment at the stadium, the carnival train with music coming from Rangers’ supporters club will move round Enugu till dawn.

“Don’t be told, Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu is the destination for all on Sunday,’’ he added.
