BENIN CITY- Edo State Governor Mr. Godwin Obaseki has said that to mark his one year anniversary in office, he will lay the foundation for the development of an Industrial Park at Ologbo in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of the state.

He made this known while speaking to party faithfuls at Idogbo the administrative headquarters of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of the state during a thank you tour to members of the party.

Obaseki commended the local government area for organising themselves well and given the party complete victory at the ten wards that made up the council area. “I want to thank you for a great job for the party by ensuring our party won in the ten wards in the council area. Three wards in this local government got 95 per cent votes for the party during the governorship election that brought this administration to power”.

“During the one year anniversary of this administration, we will lay the foundation of an Industrial park at Ologbo. We will create job for our youths through this means to fulfil our electioneering promises of job creation for the people of the state”.

He thanked the local government for given his government a worthy son as Secretary to State Government Barr. Osarodion Ogie who is the engine room of the administration. “You call me wake and see. For your information, I sleep, but you have to thank your son the SSG and the Deputy Governor Hon. Philip Shaiubu because while I am sleeping they are awake and should be commended as they are responsible for what you see when you wake up”.

The governor gave a reward of five hundred thousand naira to ward seven the ward of the SSG for given the party the highest number of vote during the election while ward ten also got five hundred thousand naira for the highest per centage of votes, while other ward got one hundred thousand naira for their effort.

The party Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha local government area Barr. Eric Osayande appreciated the governor for his developmental stride in road construction in the state in his ten months of leadership. “We thank you for the ongoing construction work at Lucky way; Obayantor-Ogbekpen-Obagie-Irhirhi road and other approved roads as well as the proposed Industrial park at Ologbo/Obazagbon”.

Earlier, the governor and other top government functionaries were at Uselu the administrative headquarter of Egor Local Government Area where he promised the people of the area a massive road construction across the council areas. “We have awarded the contracts for roads in nineteen street at Ugbowo; power line at Evbuotubu; Textile Main roads; Uwelu road amongst others”

Governor Obaseki also promised that the Ediaken market at Uselu will be open to traders soon so that it will be put to use as state government is intervening on the prices for the stores at the market.

He gave a reward of five hundred thousand naira to ward three for having the highest vote cast during the election and ward four got same amount for the highest per centage of vote cast while the remaining eight wards got one hundred thousand naira for their effort.

The party Chairman of APC at Egor, Benji Omoregie commended the governor for the work going on at Benin Technical College and drew his attention to roads in the area.

Other government functionaries that accompanied the governor to the tour include his Deputy Governor Hon. Philip Shaibu, the SSG Barr. Osarodion Ogie, the Chief of Staff Taiwo Akerele, APC State Party Chairman Anslem Ojezua, APC Senatorial leader Gentleman Amegor amongst others.
