ABUJA – The All Progressives Congress yesterday, engaged the senate caucus of the party in a stormy session over how to strengthen the party and build stronger executive and legislative relationship to snowball into victory for the ruling party in the 2019 general election.
Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, who led other NWC members of the party to the meeting at the National Assembly told journalists that the meeting was quite rewarding.
“This meeting will afford us a good opportunity to discuss general issues of polity, reality and forthcoming election is less than year.
The election is between 10 to 11 months; We are here to strategize on the best way as we are approaching a critical election.
I want to thank you most sincerely for taken out time to welcome us and it my believe that at the end of our discussion we shall leave here happy”
Senate Leader, Sen. Ahmed Lawan (Yobe North) on his part noted that the meeting would “go a long way in addressing key issues that are bedeviling our party”.
We believe that could have more of this meetings to make the party stronger.
It is our conviction that the meeting will show us better ways of managing our party and even our government.
It also our believe that this meeting will afford us an opportunity to talk to our party leaders on any issue that we feel strongly and seriously and as such we shouldn’t miss this opportunity”.
