LAGOS – The long arm of the law has caught up with a middle age primary school leaving certificate holder practicing as a medical doctor in Lagos.
The suspect, identified as Abdulrahman Mohammed, 39 years,a native of Ran Village in Gamboru Ngala local government area of Borno state was said to have been nabbed by police operatives attached to Area “D” Police Command in Lagos.

Arrested on 14th April 2018, the suspect according to source has been practising as a doctor since 2014 at No 3, Bamidele Street. idi-Araba Mushin.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos Command Edgal Imohimi, while confirming the arrest disclosed that the suspect had confessed to be a holder of just primary school leaving certificate holder without a document to authenticate his claim.

Edgal, who paraded the fake doctor among other criminal suspects Monday at the command headquarter, said the suspect had been administering intravenous injections, conducting medical test, ,taking urine and blood samples from his patients before he was eventually nabbed.
He added that Mohammed usually purchase his drugs from Idumota market which he administers on his unsuspecting patients.

According to the police boss, exhibits recovered from the fake doctor include blood pressure reading machine both manual and electronic types, syringes, drip packs both saline/ sugar solutions.among others.
While advising members of the public to always visit registered medical facilities for their health needs, Edgal said the suspect will be charged to court as soon.as investigation is concluded for impersonation.
