BENIN CITY-Operatives of Edo State Police Command have apprehended 12 Suspected Criminals alleged to been terrorising some parts of the state, lately.
The 12 suspects were paraded at the state police command headquarters in Benin City last Wednesday.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Administration, Edo Police Command DCP Mohammed Lawal while briefing journalists said the suspects were involved in various crimes ranging from kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism to rape.
He stated that the police acted on intelligent reports to raid some flashpoints where the suspects were apprehended as their arms, ammunition and loots recovered.
DCP Lawal explained that the kidnappers among them were involved in series of abductions in the state that included that of three female victims as one of them was able to identify her abductor.
Also paraded were armed robbery gang alleged to have robbed a hotel at Nomayo street, off upper sakponmba road, Benin City.
Exhibits said to have been recovered from the suspects include locally made guns, ten live cartridges, one white operational bus and a mobile phone.
