BENIN CITY-An 18 year-old boy who reportedly strangled his mother and had multiple sex with her corpse at Ologbo Community in Ikpoba-Okha local government area of Edo State has revealed why he committed the horrible act.

The suspect reportedly killed his mother, Mrs Christiana Ighoyivwi, 58, on October 29, 2018 and copulated with her lifeless body hoping that money would appear from the blues in the process.

The Akpobome Samuel, on Wednesday, said he killed his mother, Mrs. Gift Samuel and slept with her corpse for money making ritual purposes.

He disclosed this while being paraded by the Edo State Police Command alongside other 83 suspects paraded by the police for various crimes ranging from cultism, kidnapping, rape, armed robbery, murder and burglary in Benin City.

Akpobome said he was only acting on the instructions of the native doctor whom he visited in Ologbo, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of the state.

He said the native doctor told him that after killing his mother, he should sleep with her corpse in order to get rich and that he willing complied with his instruction and killed her.

Akpobome who works in a pure water factory in Ologbo said he was caught by his grandmother who came to knock at his door having waited patiently for her (the deceased) to accompanying her to somewhere.

Akpobome who said he had only slept with the corpse once said his grandmother raised the alarm that attracted the attention of the people around when she saw the lifeless body of his mother on the floor.

“The native doctor told me to kill my mother and sleep with her corpse but he did not tell me the number of days to sleep with her. He told me to keep her dead body inside the room for two days but I was caught when I could no longer keep it.

“As I was about coming out, I did not know that my grandmother was sitting outside.

“When I opened the door, my grandmother sighted the corpse inside the room and raised the alarm that drew the attention of the public.

“My mother did not offend me. I killed her because of the money”, he said.
