The Obaseki Volunteer Network, OVN, has hailed citizens of Edo State for their continuous support for Governor Godwin Obaseki.
The leader of the group, Solomon Okoduwa said in a statement in Benin City that the stand of the people is outrightly against the wish and aspirations of some politicians who are bent on maligning the state governor.
OVN urged the people to continue to disregard and discredit every rumour being propagated by some politicians he called “the agents of falsehood.”
Okoduwa who said the governor cannot be distracted recalled “the Governor has said never again will the money meant for the vast majority of Edo people be shared among selected political leaders. Edo people must continue to enjoy the robust dividends of democracy under his administration”
“We are grateful for your resilience, your unwavering solidarity and love you all have shown to the Governor and his deputy over the years.”
Okoduwa added that “the Governor is working selflessly and passionately for the interest of Edo people, and for him to continue…, he needs overwhelming support from you and I. So we need to encourage the governor by continuously supporting him and never relent your support for OBASEKI.”
