BENIN CITY – The Chairman of Oredo Local Government Council, Honourable Jekins Osunde Evbareke has commended the Edo Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki for providing the enabling environment for the hosting of 2019 Edo Trade Fair Exhibition.
He also applauded the Executive of the Benin Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BENCCIMA) led by Rev. (Dr.) Mrs. Atekha-Odemwingie for bringing to fruition the trade fair exhibition after over a decade of abandonment.
Hon. Osunde gave the commendation while speaking with journalists shortly after the opening ceremony of the Edo Trade Fair on Tuesday in Benin City.
The Local Government Boss said that the event was remarkable as its coincided with the 3rd year anniversary of Godwin Obaseki-led administration in Edo State.
“Today’s event is remarkable because it is also a day we are celebrating the 3rd year anniversary of Governor Godwin Obaseki’s administration in Edo State.
“I want to thank Governor Obaseki and BENCCIMA for this laudable initiative”, he said.
While noting that Oredo Local Area is known for excellence, bronze casting, agriculture, tradition and culture, Osunde remarked that this year’s trade fair exhibition would no doubt avail the area opportunity to further showcase its potentials to the world.
He, however, commended representatives of the 18 local government councils of the state for their active participation of the trade exhibition.
