CALABAR- The Benin Monarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II has arrived in Calabar City, Cross River State ahead of his visit to the Obong Of Calabar, His Eminence, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V. today
The Oba who in company of one of his queens, Secretary to the Benin Traditional Council, Frank Irabor, Osani Elamah touched down at Magret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar, at about 6:53 pm aboard private jet yesterday.
He was received by elated
mammoth crowd that included top Efik, Benin Chiefs, Edo sons and daughters in the town, this even as different cultural groups in the state entertained the Oba Ewuare II upon arrival.
Oba Ewuare II will today meet the Obong Of Calabar as well as Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade on Monday before proceeding to Port-Harcourt in continuation of his “Thank You Tour” across the country.
On arriving Port-Harcourt, Oba Ewuare II is scheduled to meet with the Governor of Rivers State, Barrister Nyesom Wike and South-South Monarchs’ Forum
The Monarch would be departing Port-Harcourt for Benin City on Thursday, January 16, 2020.
