Auchi (Edo) – The Otaru of Auchi Sacred Kingdom, His Royal Highness Aliru Momoh, on Tuesday commended the Nigerian Army for assisting in combating crimes nationwide.

Momoh, the Ikelebe III of the kingdom, made the commendation when the Commander, 4 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brig.-Gen. Usman Bello, paid him a courtesy visit in his palace in Auchi.

“The Nigerian army is carrying out its professional duties in combating crimes nationwide and needs to be commended for it.

”The Nigerian army is the hope of this nation and a very disciplined service,” he said.

Earlier, Bello said that he was grateful that the Otaru believed in the capabilities of the army to protect the sovereignty of the nation.

He said that the army, in collaboration with other security agencies, would continue to ensure the security of lives and property in Edo and its environs.

The commander of 4 brigade also solicited the royal father’s support and blessings to encourage and strengthen the Nigeria soldiers in discharging their duties.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Commander, Nigerian Army School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Maj.-Gen. Dickson Hirobo, joined Bello in the visit to the Otaru’s palace. (NAN)
