BENIN-CITY – The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) has donated capacity building support for Technical and Vocational Training (TVET) to three institutions in Edo State.
The institutions are Amena Academy, Genius Hub and Edo Innovation Hub, all in Benin City.
Presenting the items to the beneficiary institutions, Wintana Tarekeng, IOM Project Officer Migration Management/Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration said it was part of IOM comprehensive approach to assist returned migrants in the state.
According to her, the items are meant for their training in order to find migration unattractive.
Items donated to Amena Academy included, cake mixer, lecture chairs with desks, blender, industrial cooker and gas cylinder.
Industrial sewing machines, Stunning machine, 26KVA power generator industrial botton machine as well as male and female mannequin were given to Genius Hub.
Items donated to Edo Innovation Hub included office chairs, work stations, glass wall board, printer and air conditioner.
