BENIN CITY – Five Edo cyclists are amongst the 13 cyclists picked to represent the country in the Africa Cycling Championship holding in Cairo, Egypt from March 18-25.

The cyclists are Rita Aggo, Grace Ayuba, Tombrapa Grikpa, T Temple, and Okeyah Temple. In the female category Rita Aggo, and Tombrapa will represent d country in the elite class while Grace Ayuba will ride in the U-23 category.

In the male category the two temples and other Nigerians will represent the country in the elite class.

According to the Technical Director of Cycling Federation of Nigeria (CFN) the 13 Cyclists that have been Training at the National Stadium Valodrome will depart the country on Monday March 8, 2021 for Cairo for the track tournament.

The Confederation of Africa Cycling member hinted that Nigeria will participate in the Under 19, Under 23 and the elite class.

Nigeria won the 2018 competition hosted at the Velodrome in Abuja.
