ORHIONMWON – The newly elected executives of Orhionmwon chapter of National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) were on Tuesday inaugurated at the council secretariat, Abudu, Edo State.

The inauguration which took place inside a packed legislative chambers of the council, put to end a pre-election crisis that stalled the ceremony for more than a month.

Speaking after their oath taking, the new Orhionmwon NULGE chairman, Osagie Kingsley called for unity among council staff, adding the time of election was over.

He assured the council management of continuous workers support “to build the local government and place it where it ought to be”.

The outgone chairman, Mathew Ighodaro spoke with our correspondent immediately after ceremony, wished the newly inaugurated executives well, praying they surpass his achievements.

According to him, “the job is enormous; and my wish for them is, that which I could not do, God should give them the strength to combat it”.

High point of the ceremony was dissolution of the passed executives, and subsequent oath taking by the new excos administered by the council’s legal adviser, Barr Benson Ogbebor.

The newly inaugurated excos include the Chairman, Osagie Kingsley, Vice chairman, Osazee Joseph, chairperson, Mrs Alenokhuorie Bridget, Secretary, Omoruyi Kelvin, others are Assistant secretary, James Paul, Treasurer, Mrs Ayeboze Osifo, Auditor, Harrison Onaghise.

Also inaugurated are Edokpolor Fred, Eseosa Izogie who occupies the position of Trustee, Young workers representative respectively, and representatives of the 14 departments of the council.
