BENIN CITY – The Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki has said that he would be having a solemn birthday on July 1, 2021.
In a statement, the Chief of Staff to the governor, Hon. Osaigbovo Iyoha said that, “The governor would be spending the day reflecting on the challenges that our people face, pondering on how to make life more fulfilling for the ordinary man.”
According to the Chief of Staff, friends and well wishers who are hoping to pay to advertisers for their congratulatory messages should channel the funding to support the efforts of two charity bodies in improving the lives of the indigent and children with disabilities.
He listed the charity bodies as Project Charilove located opposite Central Hospital, Sapele Road, Benin City and Isaac and Oscar Aluyi Foundation for Children with disabilities at No. 12Aibieyi-Akenzua Street, Off Uwagboe Avenue, Ugbowo, Benin City.
He said that, “The governor appreciates the support and solidarity and thanks his friends, associates and well wishers in advance for respecting his wishes, as they channel their energies and resources towards the vulnerable in the society.”
