BENIN CITY— It was an ecstasy of jubilation as the Director of NIPOST Training Institute(NPI), Egor, Benin City, Dr Julius Bolade Anjorin led other management and staff of the institute on a road show to express profound gratitude to Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki for constructing the road leading from Siluko-Egor road into the institute.

The road, known as NIPOST road, had been in the state of complete dilapidation for decades until it was recently constructed with road-side drain up to the administration block on campus of the institute by the Governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration.

The road show, which started from the administration block of the institute, was taken through the whole length of the newly-built road with the Director and the staff dancing and becoming the pleasant cynosure of the residents in the neighbourhood and traders at the Egor market, who could not help but join in frenzied dance of immense appreciation.

The musical road-show was also taken to the palace of the Enogie of Egor.

Addressing staff of the institute prior to the road-show, the Director of the NIPOST Training Institute, Dr Julius Bolade Anjorin said, ” We are grateful that God has done it. We just want to express our gratitude to God and appreciation to the Governor of Edo State, Mr Godwin Obaseki and also to thank our Post Master General.

Describing the Post Master General as a very humble personality that has a listening hear, the Director affirmed, ” when you advise him, let’s do this thing, he listens to you. As soon as we told him to come to Edo State, he came. He met the Governor and after meeting the Governor, the road became possible.”

While thanking the management and staff of the institute for their cooperation he also thanked the Enogie of Egor, HRH, Tony A Ogiegor II for his support and the cordial.
