…calls for prayers For Better Nigeria

BENIN CITY – The Neo Black Movement of Africa(NBM) Worldwide, Benin Zone, a Pan-African Organisation which seek to advocating for the rights of Africans globally and sustainable development of the continent, has enjoined Muslim faithful across Nigeria to use the opportunity of the month of Ramadan to fast, pray and seek spiritual cleansing towards achieving a better country.

In a statement issued by the Zonal Public Relations Officer (PRO), Comrade Idahosa Moses, on behalf of the President, Benin Zone, the NBM, Benin Zone described Ramadan as a soul-searching exercise and spiritual turnaround, urging the faithful to make good use of the holy month.

Comrade Idahosa also reminded the Muslim faithful to remain steadfast in imbibing the salient lessons of the Ramadan fast which are love, compassion, honesty, piety and peaceful coexistence.

While acknowledging the challenges facing the people especially in the area of economy, the zone, however, advised market men and women against arbitrary hike in the prices of their commodities during or after the Ramadan fast as it is against the spirit of the season.

The Benin Zonal PRO congratulated the Muslim Faithful for witnessing yet another Ramadan period and prayed that the lessons and blessings of the Holy Month will be internalized so that, “it positively affects our attitude and promote greater commitment to peace and unity of the our State and our country”.

The Ramadan fast is a month-long annual religious ritual in which Muslims are obligated to abstain from food and drinks and other luxuries from dawn to sunset.
