PORT-HARCOURT – It was a horrible sight to behold as angry mobs on February 14 on leash terror on two middle-aged men, Obode Jerry and Water Speff over alleged involvement in homosexuality leading to the death of one of them, Water Speff.
It was learned that Obode Jerry who hailed from Edo State had gone to club at the Casablanca Club along Abacha Road, GRA, Port-Harcourt with his friend, Water Speff (now deceased).
In what seemed to be fanfare later turn out to be a nightmare for the alleged Same-Sex lovers as their movement and body language elicited suspicious from other lodgers and workers who laid ambush for them.
Judging by the nature of the traditional norm in the land and the Nigeria law which prescribed 14 years jail term for anybody found guilty of such homosexuality viewed as sarilegeous, the mobs it was gathered, that having caught Jerry and Water red-handed in the act gave them the worst illtreatment of their lives before Water Speff passed on in the process, while Obode Jerry narrowly escaped from being killed by the angry mob before the arrival of the police personnel who were immediately alerted during the incident.
Confirming the incident, the police at the scene said that the corpse of the late Water Speff will be deposited in the morgue while the police command would deploy its dragnet across the state and beyond towards apprehending Jerry who has been declared wanted over homosexuality.
Declaring Jerry wanted, the police charged anybody with useful information that will lead to his arrest to report at the nearest police station as handsome reward awaits him or her.
Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, the whereabouts of Obode Jerry was still unknown.
