UROMI-A 16years old Andrew Agen has escaped being killed by suspected Islamic Sect who invaded his father’s house in search of him over his alleged role in the disappearance of his friend Yusuf Adebayo, accusing him of having a hand in the sudden disappearance of his friend Yusuf.
The armed Islamic Sect numbering over 20 youths reportedly took their anger overboard destroying everything in sight including the building when they could not find their target, Andrew Agen who narrowly escaped.
The source close to the Agen’s family hinted that Pa Michael Agen, father of Andrew Agen was roundly beaten and dragged on the ground by the paid Islamic Sect of a woman simply identified as Mama Yusuf who had terrorized the septogenerian and his family with some Islamic Sect demanding he produced his son Andrew who she accused of being responsible for the disappearance of her son Yusuf Adebayo,had warned him (Andrew Agen) to stay off their son.
Trouble they said started after Yusuf’Adebayo mother a Muslim woman who for fear of subversive Christian influence of Andrew Agen on their son Yusuf’Adebayo,had warned him (Andrew) to stay off their son.
It was gathered that in the month of June 2014, Yusuf’ mother warned Andrew Agen to stop coming to see her son, Yusuf again in their house, because him being a Christian was capable of converting their son to the religion of unbelievers.
“She threatened to deal with Andrew Agen severely if he dared flout the warning, Andrew Agen stopped going to their house but her son Yusuf Adebayo wouldn’t stop visiting Andrew because he (Yusuf) didn’t like what his mother was doing.
“About a month later, specifically on July 7th ,2014, Yusuf’ mother came calling alleging that Yusuf’Adebayo was hiding in the house of Andrew Agen since two days because he hadn’t been seen since he left home.
“She was not convinced that her son, Yusuf wasn’t in custody of Andrew Agen, the mother brought Police to arrest Andrew Agen on trumped up charges of kidnapping and murder.
When she could not prove her allegations against Andrew Agen at the Police Station, the Police released him (Andrew Agen) and set him free but Yusuf’mother wouldn’t stop bringing the Islamic Sect to the house of Pa Michael Agen threatening that they had been paid to kill Andrew Agen if Yusuf wasn’t found.
Matters reportedly came ahead when the Islamic Sect numbering over 20 invaded Andrew Agen Parents home setting it ablaze, beating everyone in sight including Andrew’s aged father Pa.Michael Agen when the paid Islamic Sect could not find their son Andrew who had since gone into hiding.
The source wondered why the Police who were in the known following several complaint made to them by Andrew Agen family,”they turned deaf ears and blind eyes on the matter”.
The source who said that there is a ranging war now between the families of Andrew Agen and Yusuf Adebayo over the attacked on Pa.Micheal Agen, who was rushed for admission at the Specialist hospital Irua.
“My fear for Andrew Agen is that no matter where he is in this Country, they will get him,apart from being well known,Yusuf Parents are very connected, with a network of the Islamic Sect influence across the Country.
“Infact, the family of Andrew Agen now live with fear and the police is not helping matter as they are yet to make any arrest or provide security for the family.
“The painful aspect of the whole situation is that the family now squat in friends home”, source stated.
Meanwhile, the spokesman of the Area Police Command,Mr Musa Bello,who said the Police is unaware of the matter, however said that his command will carry out thorough investigation into the matter and unravel the identity of the perpetrators of the crime.
