KANO- AFTER a cursory assessment of the circumstances that led to the death of one year old baby, Amina Mohammed in Rogo Local Government Area of Kano State, parents of the child have accused the baby’s nephew, one Moses Joseph of allegedly killing the one year old Amina.
Consequently, the Police authorities have declared Moses Joseph who is currently on the run wanted inconnection with the Minor’s death.
It will be noted that the incident which occurred on October 18, 2014 will continue to remain a sobber reflection in the lives of Mohammed and Aisha, parents of the deceased since the baby was the only child of the couple since their marriage several years ago.
It was gathered that the couple had gone to the market for shopping, leaving behind the little Amina with Moses Joseph who Investigation revealed was leaving with them in a story building apartment.
It was scooped further that Moses Joseph who attended Government Junior Secondary School, Buda Town in Garko LGA of Kano State had left the baby playing in the sitting room while attending to some domestic chores in the kitchen.
Our CRIME CORRESPONDENT gathered that the little baby was said to have crawled outside of the sitting room through the back door close to the kitchen where she allegedly fell down from the first floor and died immediately.
Our reporter gathered that some neighbours from the next apartment who witnessed the incident raised the alarm and immediately called on the police authorities.
The police as well as the baby’s parents were said to have arrived and on their assessments of the circumstances surrounding their child’s death accused Moses Joseph of having hand in their child’s death.
Meanwhile, the police have instituted a murder charge case against Moses Joseph who the police Command said would be sentenced to death if found guilty.
Moses Joseph it was learnt as at press time has since disappeared to an unknown destination for fear of being subjected to unlawful prosecution.
It will be recall that the said Moses Joseph had lost his father, Mr. Moses Okah on January 20, 2012 to Boko Haram terrorists attack in Kano where at least no fewer than 180 persons were killed, including his father.
The situation it was learned devastated Joseph until March 3, 2014 when Joseph was also hit with the news of his 44-year-old mother’s death, Mrs. Suzan Moses who died in a ghastly motor accident while on her way traveling from Kano State to Zaria, Kaduna state.
