DELTA STATE – The whereabouts of the heir apparant to the prestigious Royal stool of Ekiugbo Iyede in Isoko Kingdom, Andrew Omojevwe Etedheke has continued to create tension, pandemonium as well as apprehension in the land.

According to the traditional norm in the land, after the death of the king, his first son is expected to ascend the throne after performing the necessary rites.

But this was not to be in the case of Andrew Etedheke whose late father passed on in 1995 when he was still a little child and his uncle was asked to hold forth pending when Andrew would have come of age.

It was learned that recently, having attained the ripe full age and has had detail discussion with elders and other policy makers, he then approached his uncle on the need to hand over the Mantle of leadership to him.

His uncle was said to have vehemently rebuffed him, including his mother, Mary Etedheke and some elders who at various times made frantic efforts to broker peace and understanding between the contending parties.

According to insider sources, each time the matter came up, Andrew’s uncle would roared and asked him to back off.

The sources further confirmed that the Royal king who is highly dreaded in the area has been threatening brimstone until the recent incident where some gun men suspected to be hired by the king stormed the family house of Andrew in a cammando-like, just as they wasted no time in spraying Mary Etedheke with bullets on November 14,2014.

However, Andrew’s younger sister who was at home when the incident occurred it was gathered managed to escape to an unknowm destination for safety and has since not seen.

Despite taking custody and possession of Andrew’s late father’s properties, the monarch has advanced his threats, saying he was more than ready to wipe out any soul that has lineage with Andrew.

As a political warlord before he was enthroned, the Royal father has vowed to spread his dragnet across the nook and cranny of the state and beyond towards silencing Andrew.

This according to sources might have prompted him (Andrew Omojevwe) to run for his dear life.

Meanwhile, the matter has been reported at the police station for further investigation.
