BENIN CITY – A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State and Senior Special Assistant to the Edo State Governor on Youths Mobilisation, Comrade Tony Kabaka Adun, has called on the electorates to vote wisely in the forthcoming general electorates in order to elect a credible president that would take the country to the next level in terms of development.
Comrade Adun made the call at his Benin City residence, weekend, while hosting youths across the state for this year’s Christmas celebration.
He noted that the electorates are regarded as the engine block for stabilization of democracy in the country and that some so-called political rulers have inadvertently violated the fundamental principles of an ideal democracy and cited the 16 years administration of the opposition party, PDP led government, which he adjudged to have woefully failed citizens.
The Chairman of Akugbe Ventures, a tax consultant firm to the Edo State Government, posited that the 151/2 Years of the PDP led government was a total set back to the doomed days of the Military Juntas and therefore fraternizing with money bag politicians who are right there to compromise the future of the youths.
According to him, the youths, who play cardinal roles in an elections do not have future in this country as the self aggrandized politicians usually dump them after achieving their aims.
He said that a cursory look at the PDP administrations on Edo State revealed that, the party was already a dead party that does not need resuscitation because all its antecedents were focused towards plunging the state into a deep sea of poverty for the years of it reign without recourse to the roles played by the people to restore sanity in the polity.
Comrade Tony Kabaka, who lamented the inhuman treatment meted on the youths particularly, therefore, advised the youths across the country to vote against the incumbent president Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 presidential  election because, the president had not sincerely tackled the problems of corruption which has been a canker worm eaten deeply into the blood stream of those at the helm of affairs in this country and the Boko Haram Insurgency which had replicated the civil war era in the country.
Comrade Adun stressed that the inability of the Federal Government to bring respite to the citizens in the areas of human and infrastructural developments was the manifestation of failed policies and prgrammes of the PDP and that this election shall be the end of the existence of PDP as a party.
He further said that the APC, which stands for change, had actually reflected the slogan for change and retrospectively cited Edo State as a case study for positive charge.
He averred that the six and half years of Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole as the Governor of Edo State, symbolised the progressive era of Dr. S.O. Ogbemudia, a two time Governor of Old Midwest and Bendel State as well as late professor Folorunso Ambrose Alli, a former Governor of Bendel State, whose policies and prgrammes then were targeted towards ameliorating the hardship of the people.
He thanked Governor Adams Oshiomhole for living up to his electioneering promises to the people and urged the electorates to work in tandem with the laid down principles of APC to oust President Jonathan from office.
He advised the electorates across the country to vote for a retired general in the army, whose legacies as former head of state are yet to be rivaled, Gen. Mohammadu Buhari, so that he could streamline his manifesto.
Comrade Kabaka, opined that Gen. Buhari has all the requisite credentials to take Nigeria to the development level like the America, and United Kingdom.
He assured the people of Edo State of his continued efforts at promoting the course of good governance in the state
