BENIN CITY- Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has requested for the state parliament approval to access the sum of N2billion from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) N220bn Microfinance, small and Medium Enterprise Economic Funds.
The request of the Governor was contained in a letter dated November 28 2014 and signed by Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, which was read during yesterday’s plenary session by the Deputy Clerk of the House, Mr. James Omotama.
Speaking, Hon. Uyi Igbe in his submission directed the House Committee on Rules Business and Government House to submit its reports on the request within 24 hours.
Also, during plenary yesterday the fourth alteration bill of 1999 Nigerian Constitution scaled through its first reading following the suspension of Rules 42-46 of the House.
The House is expected to commence the clause –by-clause consideration of the bill during plenary today.
