apc logo (600 x 539)BENIN CITY – The All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday in Benin City reiterated that the ongoing campaigns in Edo State should be issue-based due to the uniqueness of the state in experiencing ten years of PDP rule and six years of APC rule, which is enough time for the electorates to differentiate the style of governance and delivery on promises.
The State APC Chairman, Barr. Anselm Ojezua took this position shortly after emerging from a meeting with APC candidates in which directions were given to them on how to campaign under one platform.
The State APC Chairman acknowledged that time was not a friend to anyone considering the mileage to be covered. However, he was of the opinion that if time is managed well they will be able to achieve results.
Throwing more light on the level of preparedness of the party, he said that he has informed candidates to conduct their campaigns in a civilized manner since it is the party in government. He insisted on the need to maintain law and order in Edo State especially during campaigns.
For those who are not satisfied with the conduct of the already conducted primaries, Barr. Anselm Ojezua informed that the National Working Committee had already set up various committees to handle the conduct of the primaries and Appeals arising from the conduct.
