Benin City:- A widow has been crippled and one of the sons bathed with acid over the properties left behind by her late husband.
It was gathered that after the death of Mr. James Ekhator, his properties were willed to his first son Raymond, but this was challenged by his uncles who claim that the properties were for the entire family, and requested that Raymond should hand over the documents to them.
According to a reliable source, the uncles used all means to intimidate Raymond in other to get the documents from him. It was also revealed that Raymond has had two attempts on his life and this resulted in Raymond relocating to another state.
Trouble started again when Raymond came home to visit his mother. Information got to the uncles about his visit and that same night, the family had some visitors in the middle of the night, who invariably come to demand for the documents.
Fortunately Raymond didn’t sleep at home that day, and in anger they descended on the mother, broke her two legs and poured acid on Raymond’s younger brother face.
When the Police PPRO was contacted for comments, he said that the matter is yet to be reported.
