A young girl by name Faith Emankhu died yesterday from complications arising from an abortion carried out on her.
It was gathered that the said girl was impregnated by one Marcel Esene, her boy friend, whom she has been dating for sometime against the fathers advice, she eventually got pregnant for him and in a bid to cover up the pregnancy, she decided to abort the pregnancy.
A neighbor who claimed anonymity revealed that the girl visited the boyfriend, Marcel, on the said day and complained of stomach ache. It was not long after, she started bleeding and on serious interrogation by the boy boyfriend, she told him that she was just coming from the hospital after undergoing an abortion. She died in the boyfriend’s house before help would come.
It was also gathered that the said boyfriend took to his heels immediately she was confirmed dead by neighbors. And has not returned till the time of this report. Her body was subsequently deposited in the mortuary.
In a swift reaction, the girls father, Chief Anthony Emankhu, on receiving the new of the daughters death, reported a case of murder to the Police.
Meanwhile, investigations are on going and an autopsy to be carried out to ascertain the cause of her death. The Police has placed a handsome reward for anyone with usefull information that will lead to the arrest of Mr. Marcel Esene, who is currently on the run.
