A medical student of the University of Benin, simply identified as Kingsley is currently under investigation for breaching the same-sex prohibition act after he was caught in the sacrilegious act of homosexuality with one Oduwa Success Odia on January 31st,2015 in Benin city.

Confirmed reports available to the NIGERIAN OBSERVER, revealed that the two gay lovers were apprehended by a neighbour who caught them in the act as it was said that the door of the apartment of the medical student was unlocked .

It was gathered that a neighbour in the compound who walked in on the two gay lovers in the act screamed to attract the attention of others before he violently ordered both lovers to continue with the sacrilegious act for him to record the taboo with his android phone as evidence .

Refusing to obey his orders, he threatened to inflict injuries on them with a sharp knife he suddenly picked up from the medical student’s room if they refused,it was gathered.

The Nigerian Observer gathered that as both lovers continued while the taboo was being recorded, one of the lovers ,Oduwa Success Odia was said to have courageously engaged the neighbour in a fisticuff leading to him sustaining injuries on his right hand making way for his eventual escape from the compound.

A source in the community who pleaded anonymity said that the runaway Oduwa Success Odia was a regular visitor to the compound at Igue Iyeya off Ugbowo who neighbours thought was receiving some tutorial lectures from the medical student as it was said he at the time was preparing to write his West African examination papers in preparation for tertiary education.

Meanwhile, confirmed report made available to the Nigerian Observer indicated that the runaway Oduwa Success Odia was an only child who had no parents as it was revealed he was living with his aunty in Osasogie axis of Ugbowo in Benin City during the time of alleged sacrilege.

The medical student according to sources in the community, was however caught and beaten up by the angry mob in the community before he was taken away by the police to Ugbowo in handcuffs in search of the runaway partner, Oduwa Success Odia at his aunt’s house but was said not to have returned home since the news of the taboo broke out in the community.

Confirming the report, a statement made available to the Nigerian Observer relating to preliminary investigations into the case by the police, said that the medical student confessed to the crime.

The report further revealed that the said Kingsley lured Oduwa Success Odia, ,32-years of age who was said had been into homosexual practice from his secondary school, by promising registration for the West African Examination Council examination .

Meanwhile, the police have said that the culprit, Kingsley, would soon be charged to court and prosecuted for violating the same-sex prohibition act, while steps have been intensified through collaborative efforts of security agencies in the locality, to apprehend the runaway suspect, Oduwa Success Odia whose whereabouts remain unknown as confirmed reports revealed that he was seeking refuge in a remote community around Aduwawa at an undisclosed area to avoid being arrested.

Violators of the same-sex prohibition act upon conviction are liable to a minimum of ten years imprisonment.
