BENIN CITY – Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole will today formally launch Edo State Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP) and flag-off reclamation works on Queen Ede and Auchi gully sites.
A statement signed by the state project co-ordinator of NEWMAP, Engr. John Adisa for the Commissioner for Environment and Public Utilities, Edo State and made available to newsmen in Benin City yesterday indicated that the event will hold at Momoh Primary School, Inu-Umoru Street, Auchi at 9:30am and the Queen Ede Secondary School field, Off Benin-Agbor Road, Ogbeson, Benin City beginning at 11.30am.
The contracts are being funded by Edo State Government with the assistance of the World Bank under the auspices of the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project.
