Benin city – Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole will on Friday formally launch Edo State Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP) and flag-off reclamation works on Queen Ede and Auchi gully sites.
A statement signed by the state project co-ordinator of NEWMAP, Engr. John Adisa for the commissioner for Edo State and made available to newsmen in Benin City yesterday indicated that the event will hold at the Queen Ede Secondary School field, Off Benin-Agbor road, Ogbeson, Benin City beginning at 10:00am and at Momoh Primary School, Inu-Umoru Street, Auchi at 1:00pm same day.
The contracts are being funded by Edo State Government with the assistance of the World Bank under the auspices of the Niger Erosion and Watershed Management Project.
