OKADA (OVIA NORTH EAST) – As the grading of earth roads continues in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State, the people of Abumwenre II and Ugboke Communities in Okokhua ward have joined other benefiting communities in expressing their gratitude to the council Chairman, Barr. Mrs. Lucy Omagbon.
The excited people while expressing their joy over the level of work done so far on their over 11 kilometres farm road which links Ugbokuli, 2nd Abumwenre and Ugboke Communities, described the council chairman as an action leader.
The Odionwere of Abumwenre, Pa Solomon Omoragbon said that the road had not been maintained since the past seven years.
At Ugboke Community where the grading work is expected to terminate, the people also expressed joy ahead of commencement of work there.
Both communities leaders later offered prayers for the council boss, urging her to sustain the good work she has started in the area.
The people however appealed to the council boss to do more for them, while specifically requesting for water borehole and primary school.
Meanwhile, grading work was also ongoing simultaneously at Igo-Obazuwa-Ikoro Road Oghede ward road where the people also were visibly excited.
