ABA-The Abia Police Command has declared one Mr Chibuike Benjamin Hope wanted for his alleged involvement in act of homosexualism.
According to a source who spoke to Nigerian Observer correspondent in Aba North Local Government Area of the state and pleaded anonymity stated that the said man Mr Chibuike Benjamin Hope was declared wanted by the Police after a confessional statement made by one Mr Uzo Chididu whom they both leave together in the same house at Omamu road .
The source further disclosed that the said Mr Uzo Chididu committed the abominable act with his friend popularly called Chucks at about 4pm 27th January 2015 at Omamu road in Aba North Local Government Area of Abia state and was caught by neighbours who immediately went to informed the family of Chucks of the development and also to the Devisional Police office but before the police could get to the location , the culprits escaped.
The source however said that with the help of the neighbours and the people in the area the said Uzo Chididu and his gay partner Chucks were arrested by the police .
On interrogation the said Uzo Chididu confessed to be a gay and that one Chibuike Benjamin Hope who leave in the same house with him has been his partner in the abominable act for some time.
He subsequently added that the said man Chibuike Benjamin Hope who got wind of it that Mr Uzo Chididu has confessed him to be his partner and that the police was on his trail took to his heel and his whereabout unknown to the neighbour and family members.
When Nigerian Observer correspondent in the state visited the said house in omamu road Aba North Local Government Area of the state a close friend and neighbours in the area confirmed the case of same sex act against him and his friends but however said that the other friend Mr Chibuike that was mentioned by the arrested Uzo was no where to be found .
The Police spokesman in a statement said after several unseccessful attempt to arrest one Chibuike Benjamin Hope for questioning on his involement in homosexualism ,the command declared him wanted.
Meanwhile it will be recalled that the Federal Government passed an Anti-gay law some months ago that any person or group of persons caught in the act of gay lesbianism bisexual or participate in any of these will attract 10-14 years imprisonment .
