THE Jigawa chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday commenced voters’ education for members of the party at the grassroots.
Reports state that voters’ education was conducted at Kasarau polling unit at the Limawa ward.
Some party agents were seen using sample of the ballot papers to demonstrate correct process of thump printing.
The coordinator of the exercise in the area, Malam Musa Shani, told newsmen that voters’ education would be conducted in the 3,867 polling units across the 287 wards.
He said the party had embarked on grassroots sensitization for members to reduce incidences of invalid votes during the 2015 general elections in the state.
Shani said the exercise was to ensure that party members at the grassroots were educated on the proper way of thump printing during the upcoming general elections.
He said the exercise was to correct the wrong voting process to avoid invalid votes.
According to him, the voters would be educated on the electoral process and requirements.
Reports state the voters’ education was organized by Ubale Hashim the party’s gubernatorial aspirant in the state.
