He pointed out that by the emergence of Gen. Buhari as the president-elect of Nigeria democracy has come to stay, saying that the victory recorded by APC in the just concluded general elections was the manifestation of the quest of the people for positive change in the governance of Nigeria.
Okah also urged Nigerians to massively support the policies and programmes of the president –elect to enable him succeed in the task ahead of him, in the fight against terrorism and corruption which are known to have militated against the progress of the out going administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.
Hon. Okah, who also is the chairman and Managing Director of a Construction firm said that the social vices called corruption and terrorism remain the Bane of development, in Nigeria, particularly against the Backdrop of the administrative deficiencies and incompetence of the PDP led Federal Government which plunged this country into mess thereby reducing its integrity among the country of nations.
He opined that the administration of Gen. Buhari would bring respite, especially in the area of infrastructural and human capital development while flaying the pre-emptive dispositions of some Nigerians, who are out to destroy the reputation of the president –elect, even when it is apparent that he has not been officially sworn in as substantive president.
On the issue of recent defection of PDP members to APC, Hon. Okah posited that those who abruptly decamped are those who have no appetite to bear hunger and their actions are viewed as a cause of personal aggrandizement that is not good for an ideal democracy.
He therefore advised those intending to do so to refrain from such act, to enable them build a strong and formidable opposition party.
