ILUSIH (ESAN SOUTH EAST)- The Odionwele of Ilushi Community, Esan South east local Government Area, Edo State, Mr. Mike Okolo and the Elders-in –Council have debunked claims by Christopher Ike Ikebodi as the clan Head of the community.
Addressing members of the community, the Odionwele said that Ikebodi is neither a chief nor traditional ruler in Ilushi Community.
The Odionwele noted that the community is one of the several villages in Uroh Kingdom and does not have a clan Head.
According to him, “Ilushi has no clan Head as a village under Uroh Kingdom”, urging the public to see Ikebodi as imposture.
He said that the claim by Ikebodi is generating crisis for a long time until the Odionwele of Ilushi Community, Mike Okolo and elders of the community signed another document debunking the previous document signed in respect of Christopher Ike Ikebodi”.
In a telephone interview, Ikebodi also faulted the claims by Odionwele, saying he (Ikebodi) is the recognized clan Head of Ilushi.
“According to him “calling Ilushias village in Illoshi is an act of ignorance”, as design for succession to the clan Headship.
