LAGOS -The leaders of All Progressive Party (APC) in Surulere constituency ii in Lagos state, Lt – Colonel Rafiu Ajala and the former representative of Surulere constituency ii in the National Assembly, Honorable Aliu Kazeem, have commended the chairman Independent Electoral Commission, Prof Atahiru Jega for organizing a peaceful presidential and national assembly representative’s election.
The community leaders also frowned at the little fault of card readers machines during the election. Hon Kazeem said ‘’INEC is more creditable this year than in the previous election in Nigeria’’ .He added that the turnout of voters was encouraging. On the function of card readers, Hon Kazeem noted ‘’ the card readers worked but some machines rejected finger prints, possibly because the machines are electronic materials ‘’ Hon Kazeem therefore advised his constituents to cast their votes peacefully and avoids violence.
Also commenting, the ACN leader, retired Lt-colonel Rafiu Ajala said,’’ so far as of now the INEC arrangement was satisfactory, but there was a minor lapses like failure to give tags to party representatives at the polls. On INEC reader machine, Lt- Colonel Ajala said the machine did not pick his finger print.
However, Colonel Ajala praised Nigerians for coming out on time to vote. He also praised INEC and Police for providing good security during the election. He advised INEC to improve on their performance. Also Mr. Okanlawon Brown praised INEC for organizing a peaceful election.
