CALABAR – Dr Jacob Otu-Enyia, member representing Boki II state constituency, Cross River House of Assembly, says the state’s 2015 budget of N127.85 billion will complete ongoing projects in the state.
Otu-Enyia made the statement on Tuesday in Calabar in an interview with newsmen.
Otu-Enyia, who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, said that the uncompleted 2014 projects would be given priority in the 2015 budget.
“The 2015 budget of N127.85 billion was recently passed into law by the assembly. This budget would ensure timely completion and commissioning of all ongoing projects in the state.
“We are living witnesses to the fact that some projects of 2014 have not been completed. But the 2015 budget has captured all those projects and they will be completed and commissioned,’’ he said.
Some of the projects include the Calabar International Convention Centre, the Institute of Technology and Management, the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
“The 2015 budget christened ‘budget of transition’ would ensure timely completion of all ongoing projects in the state,’’ he said.
He also said that the priority of the state government was the electricfication of every community in the state and provision of other basic amenities.
Otu-Enyia lauded Governor. Liyel Imoke for his “massive rural and urban transformation in the state”.
