IRRUA. The recent killings of the community youth leader of Ugbegun- Ebudin and two other persons in Esan Central Local Government of Edo state is generating ripples as the clashes has spread to other parts of the Local Government Area.
Information made available to the NIGERIAN OBSERVER reveals that the community youth leader, Isede Edo and two of his boy, Ojo Osiro and Okoro Sunday who are members of the All Progressive Congress and other persons alleged to be APC thugs fully armed with dangerous weapons came to the election ground at Ebudin primary school and disrupted elections during the recent March 28, 2015 Presidential election.
It was also gathered that People Democratic Party (PDP) were leading in the voting center, when the armed men who were members of the All Progressives Party (APC) allegedly led by Isede, invaded the venue and started shooting sporadically to scare the voters and security men present on ground. There was panic as people ran for their life. In the commotion created, the gunmen made for the boxes and other electoral materials and took them away.
It was learnt that some members of the People Democratic Party (PDP) led by Eromosele Festus pursued the armed men waylaid them and this led to a serious fight. It was the eschewed fight that led to the killings of Isede Edo, Osiro and Sunday.
After the fight the All Progressive Party (APC) accused the People Democratic Party (PDP) of killing three of their members. The APC members mobilized and attacked the houses of some of the PDP youth, they killed two of the youth. They also attacked the residents of Eromosele Festus, but he was not at home when they came, he would have been killed. Festus house was burnt down by the attackers.
As at the time of writing this report, the whereabouts of Eromosele Festus is unknown as he has fled for his life.
