Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al Khelaifi has insisted that he would not even look at a 50 million offer for Edinson Cavani amid reports that Manchester United are ready to make an Eurosbid for the attacker.
The Uruguay international has been linked with a move to Old Trafford one more than one occasion, but the Ligue 1 champions have no intention of selling the 28-year-old any time soon.
“I have not held talks with Cavani over his future. He is a young player and is the future of PSG,” Al Khelaifi told Le Parisien.
“A 50m Euros offer from Manchester United? I would not even look at such a bid.
“Edinson needs a bit more confidence, but his last game against Lille – in which he scored twice – was further proof of his talent.”
The PSG supreme then went on to dismiss rumours that Zlatan Ibrahimovic could leave the club in favour of a move to MLS.
“Ibrahimovic will still be with PSG next season. There is no doubt about that.
“I don’t know what he wants after 2016, but we will discuss that at some point. I would like him to stay at PSG in whatever role suits him. We want to keep our star player here.
“He needs five more goals to break Pauleta’s record and I hope he will surpass him this season.”
Al-Khealifi also insists Laurent Blanc’s position as coach is not under threat and says the criticism of the former defender has been wholly unjust.
“Blanc will remain PSG coach next season. I have been very disappointed with the way Laurent has been treated. The criticism is unfair.
“We can win four domestic trophies this season. It would be historic. Blanc can write history, just like he did when he won the World Cup in 1998.
“I will not change my opinion if we don’t win four trophies this term. I can genuinely not see us failing to win Ligue 1. I am very optimistic and confident.
“Could he step down himself? I cannot imagine that happening. I might be very close to the players, but I would never undermine the coach, who is very close to the players as well.”
Meanwhile, the agent of Wolfsburg midfielder

has claimed Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing his client – but says he would cost 50-60 million Euros
The 23-year-old has developed into a key player at the Bundesliga side since joining them from Chelsea in January 2014 and has been directly involved in 27 Bundesliga goals this term.
De Bruyne has recently been linked with Manchester City and Bayern Munich among other clubs, but his representative Patrick De Koster has suggested PSG are sitting in pole position to sign the creative midfielder.
“PSG are an attractive club. They have prestige and resources,” De Koster told TF1.
“PSG are a club with a lot of ambition and they are one of the teams Kevin would certainly like.
“It would be a huge boost for PSG’s attack if players like Edinson Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic get the kind of passes Kevin can play.
“A player like Kevin is worth 50m Euros to 60m Euros in today’s market. Clubs that say they are willing to pay +30m for Kevin are not in touch with reality.”
De Bruyne has a contract with Wolfsburg until June 2019.
