IGUOBAZUWA – Leaders of Thought of Ovia South West Local Government Area, have called on the People of the area to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Saturday’s House of Assembly election.
The leaders of Thought made this call in a town hall meeting organized by the League of Awareness in collaboration with the Edo Study Group (ESG) in Iguobazuwa, headquarters of the Local Government Area.
The Convener of the meeting Rev. David Ugolor said the meeting was to inform the people on the need to embrace change in order to attract development to the local government area.
He urged the people to compare the six years developmental strides of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole led government to the 16 years rule of the PDP in the state.
Rev. Ugolor, the Convener of Development Alliance for Niger Delta said that, over the years, Iguobazuwa has been left out  from the developmental map of Edo State, adding that, now is the time for the people to align with the APC, as their votes in the election will put them in mainstream of government.
Speaking on the theme; “from stomach infrastructure to sustainable development,” Ugolor said Iguobauwa lacked the presence of a bank, a modern library, a tertiary institution, and all that make for development. etc.
He said the pitiable situation will be reversed when the people vote enmasse for APC.
He promised to join forces with Iguobazuwa to bring development to the area.
A former commissioner for investment, Edo State, Hon. Denis Idahosa applauded the convener for the town hall meeting and advised the people to shun politics of bitterness, while urging overy citizen of the area to see themselves as one united family.
The Community Development  Association Chairman, Mr. Joseph Ohenbamu urged the people to put aside their political affiliation  and support the candidate of the APC so as to enjoy the development that comes with change.
He said it was time for them to vote in candidate that will bring about infrastructural development.
A former member representing Ovia federal constituency in the House of Representative, Hon. Harrison Omagbon charged the people to come out with one mind on Saturday and vote for APC candidate.
According to him, a vote for APC, is a vote for Adams Oshiomhole.
