IHIEVBE (Edo)  – His Royal Highness, the Ukor of lhievbe, Owan East Local Government Area of Edo State, Alhaji Jimoh Awudu, JP, has congratulated the President-elect, Major Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd) on his victory at the Presidential election, describing it as God ordained.
The Ukor of lhievbe also commended President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for the statesmanship he displayed by his acceptance of the outcome of the election.
Alhaji Jimoh Awudu expressed appreciation to the Comrade Governor, Adams Aliyu Eric Oshiomhole for the developmental strides across the nooks and crannies of Edo State.
The Ukor of lhievbe appealed to political class and the electorate to shun any form of violence during the House of Assembly election slated for April 11, 2015.
The Royal Highness made these remarks in his Palace at lhievbe during the conferment of chieftaincy titles ceremony, as part of the activities to mark his ten years anniversary as the Ukor of lhievbe Kingdom.
The Ukor of lhievbe stated that as the only authority saddled with the responsibility of conferring chieftaincy titles on individuals in the community, he had found certain individuals to be so honoured with titles as those who had made useful contributions towards the development of lhievbe Community.
Those conferred with chieftaincy titles include Chief Patrick Adagbon Musa, who was conferred with the title of Ekpeakhena of lhievbe, Chief Sam Aigbirio, the lkhalaede of lhievbe, Chief (Barr) Victor Ohiosumuan, the Aidelokhai of Ihievbe, and Chief (Alhaji) Bashiru Ekeinde, the Ojeamiran of lhievbe. By this conferment, they have automatically become members of the lhievbe Traditional Council of Chiefs. The Ukor of lhievbe also elevated some of his Chiefs to the status of senior Chiefs in the Palace.
The Ukor used the occasion to thank the people of lhievbe for their support over the years and pledged the unwavering loyalty of his subjects to the Government and people of Edo State. The ceremony was witnessed by the Chief Imam of lhievbe, Alhaji Danjuma lzevbekhai, Palace Chiefs, including Chief (Alhaji) Kasimu Ozeto and Chief (Alhaji) Yakubu Kadiri, Senior Special Assistant to the Comrade Governor, the Ejemai of Ihievbe.
