KALGO (KEBBI STATE) – The Kalgo Local Government Council of Kebbi State has commended the state government for citing Federal Institutions, Hospitals and development projects in the area.
Alhaji Abubakar Kuka, Chairman of the council, gave the commendation in an interview with newsmen in Kalgo.
He said that the state government had constructed 27 kilometres of roads linking the state capital with the Kuka community, noting that it has reduced the hardships faced by people of the area, adding, that in the past, the access road to a health facility in the area was difficult, especially for pregnant women.
He added that 65 additional boreholes had been sunk in the area, which had also improved the availability of potable water.
“The area is also now provided with three health centres equipped with modern facilities, qualified personnel and drugs.
“The location of a N3.8billion, 200 capacity Bed Hospital in the area will boost healthcare delivery and provide employment for people of the area,” he added.
According to him, the council has also been supported by the state government in the construction of roads, water supply and a new slaughter slab worth N8.6 million.
“The present regime has also supported the provision of amenities that have improved the living standards of the people,” Kuka added.
